Strap For Rollerblades

enemies Who Killed Rosie Larsen?

S i talked yesterday that the second batch of releases painted a little disappointing, except Game of Thrones, I may forget a priori project that looks pretty interesting and has just fulfilled my expectations and even the has passed a little. I mean The Killing .

Based on a Danish series called Forbrydelsen, The killing the story of Rosie Larsen a 17-year-old woman found murdered. So we'll see throughout the chapters affected by his death: his parents, detectives on the case and a city councilman who has just connected to the victim. Therefore, the plot unfolds in three ways, each more interesting: the murder and its investigation, the pain of family and political career of the council that would be jeopardized.

first thing that stands out is that each episode covers a day in the life of these characters and research (it seems that like the Danish). In this sense, the pace is deliberately slow. However, although some this is a handicap at all becomes heavy. It helps the atmosphere of the series. Filmed in Vancouver, Seattle shows a rainy and foggy atmosphere that contributes to the cold. In this sense, The Killing may seem a bit cold and distant, but I think it is very much in keeping with the tone of the series and the intensity and doubts will grow in the remaining chapters, although the biased presentation of suspects a little to them.

(Without being a spoiler exactly, the next paragraph may condicionarte viewing the first chapter, so read it at your own risk)

If you had read the synopsis of the series or you've seen the trailers, they knew the girl's death, but the first chapter plays with the viewer giving false hope to the discovery of the body, especially in the first few minutes because it occurs at the end of it and all this serves as an introduction to the characters in their daily lives. This is a very sharp game from the writers and I was pleasantly surprised.
(Fin, can continue reading quietly )
On the other hand, stresses that the performance is good. Without being big stars, are almost all known, including Bill Campbell (aging pretty badly, by the way), Brendan Sexton , the fabulous Life , Michelle Forbes ( In Treatment, True Blood, 24). On the other hand, we have the detective investigating the murder, Mireille Enos, who is far away from the stereotypes of female detective. Small, frail and dressed in jeans and jersey (very much in tune with time, at last!), which gets quickly empathize not only with family but with the viewer, hence to understand their doubts about dealing with the police investigation into his family life, especially with the fact that they're moving .

In definitva an interesting bet for this season seriéfila. You may remember from Twin Peaks, but it is also true that in the Nordic countries are very prone to these types of frames so we'll see how it unfolds. Also that has thirteen episodes is also a point in his favor, as long as they follow the Danish series, we understand that the mystery will be solved at the end series, although they can always change it.
PD. As a curiosity, I downloaded the Danish series, which was recently issued by the BBC. I doubt if her now or before or simultaneously (as it has 7 chapters in the U.S.) so I will tell the experience.
